Our "Kappa"-1234

  kappa-3.JPG (44557 bytes)

It is said that lakes and rivers in Japan are inhabited by Kappa, an aquatic biped with beaks, neither a human nor a tortoise. According to people’s beliefs this creature is a funny guy, sometimes helping them and sometimes playing jokes on them. He likes pulling up women’s dresses, expelling gas loudly or whiling away the hours over a leisurely game of shogi (Japanese chess). He most enjoys the popular dish kappamaki (sushi rolls filled with cucumber) but also for him a fresh juicy child is very delicious. His signs can be found near bodies of water warning of imminent danger, but sometimes those who had seen the Kappa during hard times were suddenly blessed with good fortune and very soon Kappa became a deity.

Like the real Kappa, our Cu-1234 (in Japanese the pronunciation of Copper is “kappa”) is giving us a lot of surprises. We also believe that our Cu-1234 will help us in solving different modern problems facing the mankind in this new millennium.

So please meet our friend "Kappa"-1234 (back to Home).
